Up to 25 Actors compete in the UK's foremost free Actors showcase!! Actors perform in front of an industry panel of judges in 1 min, 3 min monologues as well as an audience influenced 2 min improv round for the prize of the "Ultimate Thesp"!! Its fast its furious and its fun!!! The night is hosted by one of the UK best young Acting talents, Jimmy Akingbola!!

Which Round is for me?

The 1 Minute Smack Down

• Have you just started Drama school, or are you considering which Drama school to go to, or has it been a while and you want to revive some those childhood dreams to be the next best Thespian out there??? Then this is the round for you, it eases you into the intensity of the competition. Winners progress to the next events Heavyweight round!!!

The 2 Minute Improv Round

• Do you have a regular partner you perform with as a comic duo perhaps or are you good at improv? If so, then this is the round for you – performers without partners are paired with another Actor on the night of the show to perform an audience influence 2 minute improv.

The 3 Minute Heavyweight Round

• So you are about to graduate Drama school, perhaps you are a professional (Minimum 2 years post training experience) and you have an audition coming up or you simply want to keep honing your skill as an actor whilst you are waiting for your agent to call etc..Then this is the round for you. It must be noted that you must fit the criteria as mentioned before being allowed to participate in this round!!

Our Commitment to you!

• The judging panel will be INDUSTRY people who could potentially give you work.
• Our aim is to have a CASTING DIRECTOR, an AGENT and a DIRECTOR on the judging panel each month.
• If we can’t have all of them due to availability then we will replace them with PRODUCERS, WRITERS, ACTORS, and ACTING COACHES etc…
• We are aware that some actors want to meet different Directors or need Agents, or may have never been seen by certain Casting Directors. 
• If you are just starting out as an actor these nights will help you learn about different Monologues for drama school maybe or for your own repertoire and you can learn so much from watching other Actors.
• Also you never know who is in the audience watching so don’t think you are just performing to the panel play the room. There might be an UNDERCOVER Agent or Casting Director in the audience watching.

What else can you get out of it?

• We encourage actors who write to perform some of there own work as well. This can help you show off your talent to the panel and you never know who might be interested in reading the whole script. Also you could be in a position where your name gets out there as a writer because lots of actors are using your work for castings or drama school auditions.
